Nehemiah 9:15-17

¹⁵ You ^(A)provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger,
You ^(B)brought out water from a rock for them for their thirst,
And You ^(C)told them to enter in order to take possession of
The land which You ^[a]swore to give them.

¹⁶ “But they, our fathers, ^(D)acted arrogantly;
They ^[b](E)became stubborn and would not listen to Your commandments.
¹⁷ They refused to listen,
And ^(F)did not remember Your wondrous deeds which You performed among them;
So they became stubborn and ^(G)appointed a leader to return to their slavery in ^[c]Egypt.
But You are a God ^(H)of forgiveness,
Gracious and compassionate,
Slow to anger and abounding in ^[d]mercy;
And You did not abandon them.
